OUR STORY

In the islands of the Philippines, HARA was a pre-colonial Malayo-Sanskrit title given to the highest ranking woman in a community. Like much of herstory, the word no longer exists, unlike its male counterpart, ‘hari,’ which means ‘king.’

Our hope is that whether it be by way of a handwoven pillowcase in your boudoir or a placemat of natural fibre on your dining table, that our thoughtfully curated products lift the global appreciation and consciousness of the majestic craft of indigenous people and women, like our artisans and makers.

We are a conscious home and lifestyle brand, committed to a short and sustainable
global supply chain.

OUR CRAFTSFOLK

Our commitment first, is to our artisans, whose craft has been passed on
from generations before us. It is through their work that our art and heritage are preserved. From Abra to Zamboanga and beyond, each Hara product you purchase is handmade by women, indigenous communities, and co-ops.

Through our products, we share a piece of our history and culture with you.

Salamat.
